Common questions about our Summer Tutoring:
What if my student didn't score proficient on the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP), but they don't have a disability, can you help? Yes, by using the Orton Gillingham approach, all students would benefit from my tutoring.
How do I know if my child is ready for Kindergarten? Most teachers are prepared to handle students of all levels. If you want your student to have some early enrichment, I could help with introducing concepts to your student, making the start of Kindergarten easier on them.
My student just needs some help with expanding their vocabulary. Is that something you can help with? Absolutely! I will assess their current knowledge and work on improving vocabulary by categories.
My student isn't receiving Speech or Language Therapy over the summer, but I'd really like them to continue practicing those skills. Is that something you can provide? My background as a Speech Language Teacher gives me the skills to provide tutoring in these areas. I can provide assistance to the student's current IEP or Family Services Plan.
